Hometown Proud: Filmmaker Nikko Vitacco Bringing Hometown To The Big Screen
🎬 Guys Night — A Feature Film Inspired by Real Life in Hometown
In 1985, a father in Hometown found himself suddenly raising three boys alone after their mother made the painful decision to leave the family. Wanting to keep his sons close and create a sense of stability, he started a weekly tradition: Guys Night. Rented VHS tapes. Chips and pop. And a quiet promise to his kids: “No matter what, I’m still here.”
That story was real.
Hometown native Niko (Nick) Vitacco grew up in that house - one of those boys. Today, he's turning that memory into a heartfelt feature film, Guys Night - filming in Hometown, with the full support of the Mayor, Police Chief, and local community.
This movie is a love letter to fatherhood, resilience, and the neighborhoods that shape who we become. Production is aiming to film in 2026 - using local locations, businesses, and extras to bring this real-life story home.
